Celebrating Excellence 2026

West Midlands Children’s Services Team Excellence Awards 2026
The West Midlands ADCS Network is proud to celebrate the outstanding teams recognised at the Team Excellence Awards 2026, held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club, New Road.
Now in its fifth year, the Team Excellence Awards have become a valued regional tradition, providing an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the individuals and teams whose dedication, innovation and commitment are improving the lives of children, young people and families across the West Midlands.
Unlike traditional awards programmes, the Team Excellence Awards are not competitive. Each local authority and children's trust is invited to nominate a single team that has demonstrated exceptional impact over the previous year. The event provides an opportunity for colleagues from across the region to share learning, celebrate success and recognise the remarkable work taking place every day within children's services.
This year's nominations showcased the breadth and diversity of services supporting children and families across the region, including social care, education, SEND, fostering, residential care, early years, participation, family help and workforce development.
The teams recognised at the Team Excellence Awards 2026 were:
Children in Care
Staying Close

Speaking on behalf of the West Midlands ADCS Network, Regional Chair James Thomas said:
"The teams recognised today represent the very best of children's services across our region. Their achievements demonstrate the dedication, creativity and determination that colleagues bring to supporting children, young people and families every day. Whilst their roles may differ, each team shares a common purpose: improving lives and creating opportunities for the children and communities we serve. The Team Excellence Awards allow us to celebrate those achievements, recognise the people behind them and showcase the collective strength of children's services across the West Midlands."
The West Midlands ADCS Network would like to thank all nominated teams, presenters, guests and partners for helping make this year's event such a success.
